Action carried out in the slums of Suswa, Deep Sea, Masai, includes the following activities: rapid HIV testing; counselling (information, education, psychological support before and after the testing). The program are awareness campaigns and Health education. Daily medical assistance, both basic and paediatric, is given in the slum dispensaries, as well as supply of drugs for the dispensaries. Great importance is given to prevention of HIV/AIDS in the field of reproductive health, with particular focus on women and young people: this part of the action includes antiretroviral therapy for pregnant women and the newborn, as well as treatment of sexually transmitted diseases. Families involved in the program have also been given economical support. This project is funded by Caritas Antoniana di Padova.
