nnpg-without-smsThe “Born in the Right Place” campaign was launched in 2010 with the aim of raising funds to build the Maternity Department of Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital, the multipurpose health center built and inaugurated by World Friends in 2008, which provides health services to the poorest patients in the slums, and which guarantees the health education of the population, the training of local medical and paramedical personnel.
The Maternity Department, inaugurated on 18 February 2011, aims to protect the health of mothers and their children by providing them medical, health and diagnostic assistance before, during and after childbirth.
Since its inauguration, the Maternity ward has welcomed more than 6000 moms.
Thanks to the Maternity Department, supported by the Nati Nel Posto Giusto campaign, pregnant women living in Nairobi's robes can now benefit from services such as antenatal clinic, prevention of maternal-fetal transmission of HIV, assisted delivery and childbirth cesarean when necessary, follow up after childbirth.
Newborns benefit from perinatal services offered to mothers and after childbirth assistance and are examined periodically until the vaccination cycle is completed.
