A new room is opened at RU Neema for the sterilization of medical and surgical instruments

Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital (RUNH) is one of World Friends biggest project that aims to provide healthcare services to the most vulnerable members of the society especially those in the Nairobi east area.

RUNH was certified and recognized in 2018 as Level 5 by the PharmAccess Foundation through SafeCare. This program. was formulated to help healthcare providers to improve the quality of services offered towards the care of their patients in a step by step manner. Thus demonstrating the various stages achieved in compliance with the SafeCare Foundation Standards. RUNH received the Fifth and highest level accredited in SafeCare program.

World Friends, Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital and a private donor partnered aiming to improve and better the quality of healthcare services, they have built a new structure in the theatre block. A sluice room (a designated room that is used to disinfect and sterilize medical and surgical instruments after medical procedures are conducted) guaranteeing zero chances of cross infection cases and thus completing the level five requirements.
