Today we tell the story of Daniel Chege. He is 15years old currently in his first year at Kihome Secondary School in Othaya Constituency.
Daniel had an orthopedic surgery done by Dr. Antonio Melloto through World Friends and the Ruaraka Uhai Neema Hospital Orthopedic mission in 2004. Now Daniel hopes to be a professional footballer when he grows up and understands that education is vital in his career development.
Daniel narrates to ous how they struggled to make ends meet back in 2012 to the point of him being kicked out of school due to fees arrears. Then his mum the sole bread winner, was introduced to the Sarah project, enabling them to direct more money to their basic needs and allowing him to go back to school.
He tells ous he’s worked hard and his report cards are clear proof of that. He is now the class prefect and hopes that the Sarah project will keep sponsoring his education till University.
